This week we are getting some large numbers of boxes through and therefore we are checking large numbers too. They are beautifully wrapped and so colourful.
Some fantastic crafts too, tiny cuddly toys in their own little bag, all tucked up as cosy as can be.
Carolyn said she was overwhelmed when she collected a large box filled with all sorts of home made gifts. These have been lovingly made by our previous Warehouse Treasurers, Vera and Rosemary. Rosemary, Vera's daughter, sadly died of cancer very recently. Vera, her elderly mother, with tears in her eyes, said that they had really enjoyed making all these gifts. Carolyn said, "I could hardly believe it - 7 knitted draw string bags with marbles,16 knitted purses with tissues inside and a button fastening, 6 crochet bags with knitted teddy hand puppets, all with knitted scarves, 3 padded bags with button flower designs on the front, 36 drawstring knitted bags with handmade jewellery inside,16 material shoulder bags with button flower designs on with a handmade note pad and pencils inside and 45 homemade note pads with coloured motif on the front"!!!!!! She added, "I have to say that I shed a few tears as I drove away knowing that this lovely lady who had lost her daughter had given us a legacy for so many children".
