Saturday at the Warehouse

Saturday saw the end of what was a fairly quiet week; however, it was a very enjoyable day at our warehouse. We had plenty of shoeboxes to process and loads brought in. Lots of new people joined us and that is one of the things we love about this, people just turn up! We get to meet some super new people everyday and we know it won’t be the last we see of them either!

Some come on their own confidently knowing they will get a warm welcome, good training, an opportunity to make new friends and most importantly the chance to make a difference to another person's life, they leave happily knowing they have done just that.

There are some familiar faces and old friends too all joining together for one cause.

On Saturday we had nearly 100 boxes brought in to us by individuals - plus more crafts. Howard Denyer from the Institute of Knot Tie-ers and Surrey Scouts had very cleverly made a simple card detailing how to tie Six Knots with the twine to do it too.

Ted is still “puzzled” ( is that a clue?) by the coloured shapes he has found about the place. Look at the third bit, colours match - OK but what can it be? Take a look back at last week as Ted did find two other pieces. Looks like some spots on stilts.....maybe?

And talking of Ted have you had a go at picking a name yet? There is an envelope with a name chosen by the Bear Garden safely locked away, it will be revealed in due course  Here is Andrew and his assistant at the Bear garden choosing the name.
